Boca at Bang FaceBoca
Boca

A lover of all music, Boca got hooked on the rave sound back in London in the early 90s. The Prodigy were flying high in the charts and the capital’s airwaves were filled with new music coming out of fields and warehouses across the country. Breakbeats, basslines, pianos, ragga toasting, dark hoovers, sped-up vocals and crazy samples – despite being a youngsta during these early years, Boca was compelled to get involved.

The vinyl bug had started, although much of this early collection consisted of dodgy chart rave tunes! During the late 90s however, the music started to change. Despite continuing to pick up new Hardcore and Drum & Bass releases, Boca felt they missed something that had made the original Hardcore and Jungle so special. Second-hand record shops then became a second home as Boca tried to buy every old skool record ever made. Does this mean he stopped looking forward though? Far from it! Boca has constantly sought out upfront tunes that bring back that original rave sound.

You can’t just play old tunes forever, so expect to hear him pushing brand new rave classics of the future.

Still loving all types of music, Boca is constantly staying fresh, picking up any quality new sounds that reach his ears. With sets at Bang Face, 'Ave it, High Pressure, Dance Energy, Jungle Jam, THEM! and Unity Day featuring everything from Drum & Bass to House and Breakbeat to Breakcore you should always expect a few surprises from both his lives sets and the Monday night Rave Show.
